Brackenwood Farm

Brackenwood Farm is a smallholding located in the North East corner of the New Forest. It is the home of the Whitfield family and a number of horses. The original farm dates back many years and was originally a simple New Forest cottage. Over the years the farmhouse and outbuildings have been expanded a number of times and the farm now comprises of:

The farmhouse
The stables and tack room
The hay barn, garages and yard office
The tractor and field barns

History

The original farm dates back to about the1840's. The historical maps below show how the farm and area around it has evolved over time. The recent changes to the farm includes:

2016 - Renovation of the farm house including new windows, kitchen and bathrooms.
1998 - Two storey extension and a conservatory.
1995 - Two storey extension and a new bedroom.
1990 - Stable block. construction
1990 - Side extension to the farmhouse.
