From North (A27) At Shootash, Turn onto Tanners Lane (signed The Wellows). After 0.8 miles, follow the round round to the right as it becomes Woodington Road and continue. After another 0.7 miles. turn right at the sign for St Margarets Church onto Hackleys Lane (single track road). After 0.7 miles, turn left at the sign for St Margarets and the church is 50 yards down the lane.
From the South or M27 Junction 2 (A36) Take the A36 North. After 2 miles turn right onto Whinwhistle Road (signed East Wellow, Awbridge). After 1.2 miles turn left at the sign for St Margarets Church onto Hackleys Lane (single track road). After 0.7 miles, turn left at the sign for St Margarets and the church is 50 yards down the lane.
From Romsey Take the A3090 South out of Romsey. Turn first right across the dual carriageway into Ryedown Lane. After 0.6 miles at the T junction turn left, then promptly right to continue on Ryedown Lane. After 1.2 miles at the next junction, turn right onto Woodington Road. After 0.2 miles turn left at the sign for St Margarets Church onto Hackleys Lane (single track road). After 0.7 miles, turn left at the sign for St Margarets and the church is 50 yards down the lane.
St Margaret's Church
St Margaret's church was established in 1215, the year of the signing of Magna Carta, St Margaret's has been a place of worship and pilgrimage for 800 years. A Grade 1 listed building with highly distinctive decoration - and the burial place of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing - the Church receives many visitors every year.
